MobyScore connections to servers and printers

How MobyScore on your phone connects to the outside world:

  1. Download squad and fixture list
  2. Match scored on MobyScore. (Match saved and retained safely even if phone switched off, battery death or incoming call)
  3. At any stage upload match to MobyScore server (can wait till match is over if poor signal)
  4. Request MobyScore server to send email with match scorecard as a photograph attachment (JPEG). Retrieve this email on mobile phone.
  5. Print photograph of scorecard on photo printer from mobile phone (via Bluetooth, memory card or cable)
  6. Scorecard signed there and then to complete the match
  7. When ready, ask MobyScore server to forward match to ECB Play-Cricket.com server
  8. Send match to other cricket organisations' servers (e.g. non UK cricket authorities). (Future development)

Using the battery operated Epson PictureMate 500 (or equivalent) high quality match scorecards are produced that can be signed on the spot with no mains power supply requirements. An example scorecard is shown below:
